Day #2 Blizzard 2011

The boys are outside again...they love the snow!! I don't know if they even realize how cold it is...they are bundled up and building a snow fort!  I, on the other hand, am inside staying nice and warm.  This morning I was inspired by the Pioneer Woman and my friend Lauri to cook egg-in-the-hole...and a little bacon (well really not a little-the boys ate a whole pound!)!!!!  Then I really got creative and served their breakfast in pie tins...very rustic...don't you think?  They loved it...and I love them!

Blizzard 2011

I love a good snow day!!! The store is closed and the boys are out of school!  Today Ty is even home with us!!  I think everyone needs a day where time slows down...where family bonds...it just makes me happy!!!  The boys woke me up early...ready for breakfast. (Of course they don't sleep in...especially when they can!)Then they bundled themselves up ready for some snow fun....since we are having a blizzard they only lasted about 4 minutes. I'm sure they will try to conquer the snow again...isn't that what a snow day is all about!!!

* Get A New Planner…start the New Year out a little organized…but if you don’t keep it up…no worries…you can try again next year!


* Gather Around The Table…Such a great place to listen to your kid’s hearts…Such a wonderful place to celebrate your spouse…you won’t regret it!!!


* Write A Handwritten Letter…Email and Texting is fun…but writing a letter and putting in the mail is golden…teach your kids to write letters…maybe you will get one in return!!!


* READ…Books, magazines, blogs, newspapers…Tons of wonderful information out there just waiting for you.


* Decorate A Room…paint…put up curtains…buy new pillows…hang pictures on the wall…give that room a different look…Be bold!!!


* Be A Listener… It’s nice to talk but listening can change someone’s life!!!

Fall Is Here!!!

I just love this time of year!!!  The time has changed...the air is crisp and cool...the leaves are changing colors and falling from the trees...the boys start making their Christmas lists...there is a hustle and bustle in the streets...strangers start  giving to strangers...it's just magical!!!  I always look forward to November and December and relish in its joy!!!  Ty took this picture last year of the boys...look at their sweet smiles...doesn't is just make you want to jump into a pile of leaves?  I dare you...enjoy this season...it wants you to!!!

All Aboard The Bedtime Train!!!

The other day I asked Wyatt to go clean his room.  Most of the time this is a battle between us because Wyatt doesn’t like to tidy up…or his leg is “broke” but on this particular afternoon he accepted the challenge.  When I went in to his room, I found his bed made (which is unusual) and all of his animals lined up single file!!!  I thought it was so cute I couldn’t resist documenting the moment!!! 

From Drab To Fab!!!

Do you want a little fashion inspiration?  Do want women asking where do you get your fashion? All you need is some darling leopard flats (I bought mine online at target…around $19 with shipping)…some sparkly earrings, a dab of hot glue and you will have yourself a wonderful pair of shoes!!!  Ladies,  this project is totally satisfying and you can’t mess it up…so get to creating!!!

Here are the supplies you will need!!!

A little pair of pliers might come in handy if you need to take the back off your sparkly treasure!!
